Local churches, like individuals, have unique personalities. At First Presbyterian Church of Noblesville, we welcome you from whatever tradition you may have come and invite you to explore our worship, classes, and to become a part of our church family. The Mission Statement at First Presbyterian Church is to spread God’s word, expand God’s family, and provide local and world mission to all people as we share the spirit of Jesus Christ.
We understand that selecting and joining a church is a very important decision and one that is best made from an informed position. For this reason, First Presbyterian Church provides Inquirers’ classes before joining our membership to help you better understand our church, its programs, and its government. It is a great way to become more acquainted with the pastor, some of the church officers, and other new church families.
These are informal classes and scheduled times can be obtained by calling the church office at (317) 773-2383. Child care is provided if requested. New members are then officially received at the close of these classes.
There are two requirements for joining First Presbyterian Church:
- Profession of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of your life
- Baptism – If you have already been baptized in a Christian church, rebaptism is not necessary.
There are three ways the Presbyterian Church acknowledges profession of faith in Christ:
- Profession of Faith – For those who have never joined a Christian church.
- Reaffirmation of Faith – For those who whose past membership is not clear.
- Transferring membership from another Christian church.
We look forward to meeting you and for you to become a part of our growing church family if you so desire.
