Sunday School

       Rainbows/Shooting Stars Families

We understand how important it is for our families to be able to supplement Christian Education into your time with your children away from our worship services.

We are blessed to have found an awesome opportunity for you to continue Sunday School lessons at home, with “Life Way Kids at Home” (Elementary) and “Life Way Preschool at Home” Click here to access: Life Way Kids at Home

What a joy to be in Sunday School!  Christian education is one of the most important ministries in which a church can engage.  We cherish those times of study that cause us to grow in our relationship with Jesus.  Our Sunday School has dedicated and gifted volunteers.  So, we welcome and invite children of all ages to grow in faith, love, and obedience to the will of God.

Nursery (Ages birth – 3years) — 9:45am – 11:15am   (located on the main level next to the pastor’s office)

Sunday school youth are released from the worship service typically after the anthem or children’s message.

Rainbows (age 3-Kindergarten) use “Spark:Activate Faith”, a two-year curriculum. Kids explore Old Testament stories each fall and New Testament stories in winter and spring.
Shooting Stars (1st-5th grades) use “Holy Moly” which is an online curriculum and includes ten units that can be covered in two years, spanning the Old Testament and New Testament.
Part of the Sunday School curriculum also includes our children’s choir, “Joyful Noise” directed by Kendall Teague. The children practice the first part of each Sunday School class and then have a performance each month on Youth Sunday.

Sixth Grade – Eighth Grade (meet in the Youth Loft)  Youth meet at approximately 10:15am  after the anthem or children’s message.

Senior High – Journey (located in the lower level south) Youth meet at approximately 10:15 after the anthem or children’s message

Note:  The first Sunday of every month is Youth Sunday.  Youth in grades 6 – 12 serve as ushers, lay leaders, and help in the nursery, rainbow and shooting stars classroom.  Youth are encouraged to sign up on Serve FPC.
